Nairobi (SD) – The Kenyan government welcomes the report of IGAD’s fact-finding mission on Somalia’s case against Kenya.

The IGAD Commission’s report said Somalia’s allegations against Kenya were not up to level of severing ties with its neighbor.

A statement from the Kenyan government claimed the IGAD report showed that Kenya was not interfering in Somalia.

Kenya added that this was prove that Somalia’s decision to cut ties with Kenya was unreasonable and had a negative impact on Somalis seeking assistance and other services to Kenya.

The Somali government has rejected the IGAD report as unacceptable and biased towards Somalia.
