Borama (SD) – Reports from Borama town confirm clashes between two clans in the outskirts of that city this morning.

The two clan militias are said to be fighting over a plot of land in the eastern part of Borama, where the fighting erupted this morning.

It is not yet clear the exact casualties of the fighting which has been going on for hours, as the two sides were still exchanging fire.

There are no reports from the Awdal regional administration about the fighting that erupted in the town of Borama so far and they plan to do about it.

Awdal region is one of the safest areas in Somaliland, this being the first conflict in Borama in years.
