London (SD) – Sources in Mogadishu and in London have confirmed to us that Somalia’s Minister of Information, Osman Abukar Dubbe, is on a secret trip to London, the capital of the United Kingdom.

The Minister of Information, Osman Abukar Mohamed Dubbe, is believed to have been the main Government Minister defending the Federal Government’s policies, especially during the extension.

The decision to extend the term has been widely opposed by the international community, particularly by the UK government, where the Minister and his family reside.

The minister has repeatedly accused countries, including the UK, opposed the extension of political interference.

These sources close to the Somali government’s Ministry of Information who spoke to us on the condition of anonymity, confirmed that Minister Dubbe had taken a short break and wanted to celebrate Eid with his Family.

Dubbe’s visit comes at a time of great political uncertainty in the country, with President Farmajo’s extension removed and handing over election and security issues to Prime Minister Mohamed Roble today.
