Mogadishu (SD) – The Minister of Information of the Federal Government of Somalia Osman Abukar Dubbe and the British Ambassador to Somalia Ben Fender met today at the UK Embassy in Mogadishu.
The two leaders discussed issues related to Somalia’s upcoming election awareness and democracy and how the British government can assist Somalia in these areas.
The meeting also focused on strengthening diplomatic relations between Somalia and the United Kingdom, and the role the British Government can play in the country’s development.
There is no indication that the two leaders discussed protection for the country’s media, which is key in achieving their said goals.
