MOGADISHU (SD) – Bodies of two missing siblings have been recovered on the outskirts of Somali capital, Mogadishu after more than 24-hours of search, the police confirmed Tuesday.
The two children had gone missing from their home Monday night
In a statement, Somali police said the bodies of the two children aged five and seven were recovered at Weydo area.
The children’s stepfather was arrested by police over alleged role and disappearance of the children.
Police spokesman Major Abdifatah Adan said some other family members of thechildren along with some residents of Garasbaale neighborhood were questioned about the case.

According to the police, the two children (a boy, aged seven and a girl who was five years old) had been sent to a shop in Garasbaley Monday night.
The circumstances surrounding the killing of the two children remain unclear.
