HARGEISA (SD) – The outgoing President of the Republic of Somaliland, Muse Bihi Abdi, today held a special meeting with the senior leadership of the Kulmiye party. The meeting focused on various issues related to the party’s current and future activities.

During the meeting, the outgoing President expressed his gratitude to the party’s leadership for their dedicated efforts during the challenging election period, including the presidential and party elections.

The party leadership, in turn, thanked President Muse Bihi for his unwavering support and leadership during these times, acknowledging his significant historical legacy as he nears the end of his presidency.

President Muse Bihi advised the senior leadership of Kulmiye, who will now become the opposition, to remain patient and allow the incoming government to take office. He encouraged them to ensure that their opposition was constructive, in line with their previous reputation for positive contributions.

The Kulmiye party leadership also praised President Muse Bihi for the steadfast support he provided to the party during his leadership, both as president and as a candidate. They expressed their deep gratitude to the party’s supporters.

The meeting was attended by Kulmiye members of the House of Representatives and cabinet ministers, who shared ideas on reorganizing the party and strengthening its position in the future.
