MOGDISHU (SD) -The National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA) forces have arrested Muhyiddin Abdisalam Mahamoud (Muhyiddin Daqare) in Mogadishu. He is a member of al-Shabaab and a figure close to the group’s emir, Abu Ubaidah.

The prominent figure was apprehended in Mogadishu as he made a discreet entrance, leading to NISA forces successfully capturing him.

Muhyiddin Daqare has been actively involved in operations in various regions nationwide, particularly in Bay, Galgadud, Mudug, and Lower Shabelle. He has played a role in the ranks of Ahmed Dirie’s faction within al-Shabaab.

The security forces stated that they would soon release more information about the arrest and the activities of Muhyiddin Daqare.
