NAIROBI (SD) -The Puntland Police Commissioner, Brigadier General Mu’min Abdi Shire, and other security officers have participated in a meeting in Nairobi addressing the fight against terrorism, piracy, and human trafficking.
The meeting aimed to coordinate efforts between Puntland, the USA, the UK, and Germany in combating terrorism, piracy, and human trafficking, as stated by the Puntland Police Commissioner.
General Shire, leading the Puntland delegation alongside high-ranking officials from both the police and intelligence services, underscored the importance of international collaboration.
Puntland is currently engaged in a struggle against terrorist groups operating in the mountainous regions of Bari and against pirate groups attempting to exploit the situation in the maritime areas off the coast of Somalia.
