Mogadishu (SD) – Somali singer-songwriter Omar Abdulle (Omar Sholi) has died today in Mogadishu, the capital of Somalia.
Omar Sholi’s passing has been confirmed to local media by and the Somali National Poet Council.
Omar Sholi was a member of the Waberi national singer council and had been ill for the past few days in the capital, Mogadishu.
Omar Sholi died at Yeldameri hospital in Mogadishu, where he had been receiving treatment for the last few days.
The family of Omar Sholi, who spoke to the media a few days ago, accused the Somali government of neglecting the singer, a member of the Waberi National Artists.
