National coalition Party calls federal gov’t to work with FM state over COVID 19 protection

Mogadishu (SD) – The National coalition Party led by former President of Somalia Sheikh Sharif Sheikh Ahmed worn the public over the deadly COVID 19 epidemic Protection on late Monday night in Mogadishu.

A press release by the coalition calls the federal government not to politicize efforts and support for COVID 19 Prevention instead increase quarantine centers and reduce tax revenue on food and start initiative in dealing with the spread of coronavirus, which has spread all over the world.

Former president, Sharif Sheikh Ahmed also has advised the Federal Government of Somalia to work and make partnerships with federal member states rather than blocking the regional administrations.

The coalition announcement comes a day after the Ministry of Health confirmed another 35 new cases in less than 24 hours bringing the total number of coronavirus cases in Somalia to 60 patients.

On 12, April 2020, a prominent HirShabelle Minister for Justice, Khalif Mumin dies of COVID-19 in Mogadishu after contracting the deadly COVID-19 becoming the second person to die of the disease in Somalia.
