Mogadishu (SD) – Somali political parties have made it clear that the technical committee for the Dhusamareb election process have not consulted with them.

A Press release from the National Parties Forum led by Sharif Sheikh Ahmed noted that there was no meeting between the two sides and no consultation on elections occurred.

The Technical Committee and the Electoral Commission have previously said that they have consulted with political parties.

The forum warned against an extension of the term of the cabinet and a constitutional dispute with the country’s legislature.

The forum called on the leaders of the conference in Dhusamareb to consider the current situation in the country and come up with a solution to the political crisis in the country.
