MOGADISHU (SD) – The Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, Mr. Hamza Abdi Barre, praised the successes achieved by the National Army and local forces in the ongoing operations against the Al-Shabaab group in regions of Hiran and Middle Shabelle.

The Prime Minister stated that the heroes who sacrificed their lives defending their country and people will be immortalized in history. He emphasized that the Kharijites (Al-Shabaab) will never be tolerated wherever they are, as they stand for distorting religion, shedding the blood of innocent people, and destroying the nation’s resources.

“I commend the continuous victories of the Somali National Army and local forces in the ongoing military operations, which have dealt a heavy blow to the Kharijites, liberated many areas they occupied, and ended the suffering of the Somali people, now bringing them under government control,” said Hamza.

He highlighted that the Federal Government is determined to eliminate the Kharijites, who oppose peace in Somalia, and to deliver essential services to the people, as they are committed to advancing progress for the nation and its citizens.
