Mogadishu (SD) – Somali Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble last night met with some members of Somalia’s International Partners, at a time of political crisis in Mogadishu.
During the online meeting, Roble discussed with the international community the situation in the country, in particular the current issues affecting security, politics and the process and the completion of the elections.
“Prime Minister Roble has told the international community that an agreement has been reached on the elections dispute between the northern politicians and that the election of members of both houses of parliament representing Somaliland will begin soon, ”the statement said.
The Prime Minister confirmed that the President of HirShabelle, Mr. Ali Gudlawe, has released the list of candidates, wishing that the elections will take place as soon as possible.
He noted that the Federal Electoral Commission had issued a detailed election timetable.
Prime Minister Roble reiterated his commitment to bring the Ikraan Tahliil Farah case to justice, hoping that he and the President would agree on the issue.
Somalia’s International Partners has not commented on last night’s meeting with PM Roble.
