Mogadishu (SD) – The Prime Minister of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Mohamed Hussein Roble, in a meeting with media leaders today, emphasized the importance of the forthcoming elections, urging them to strengthen their role in educating the public.
The meeting focused on the situation in the country during the transition period, with the Prime Minister saying that the media is an important institution that can play a positive role in ensuring free and fair elections in the country.
Eng. Roble said that the media played a role in the development of the country, especially in difficult times, and need to strengthen their role.
“I thank you for the important role you have played in the development of the country, especially in raising public awareness, and now I want you to play your part in the upcoming elections in the country.” Said PM Roble.
Media leaders thanked the Prime Minister for the meeting and the briefing, and noted that they will continue to raise public awareness.
