Police in Bossaso discovered items included explosives, bombs.

BOSSASO (SD) – The security forces in the Bari region, particularly those stationed in Bossaso, displayed ammunition last night that was found in the house of a foreign national who was killed after attempting to bury a landmine.

The discovered items included explosives, bombs, and other materials believed to have been intended for attacks against civilians and security forces.

The Police Command of Bari region urged the residents of Bossaso to remain vigilant and report any suspicious individuals or activities that could threaten the city’s security.

The command emphasized that ongoing security operations are crucial to maintaining peace and preventing plans by militant groups operating in the region.

Additionally, Puntland Defense Forces successfully shot down two drones today that were launched from ISIS-controlled areas and equipped with explosives. These drones were reportedly intended to target security forces, but the military thwarted the attempt.

The Puntland anti-terrorism operation, led by Darwish forces, reported a significant decline in drone attacks over the past 24 hours.

This decline indicates that ISIS’s operational capability in the region has been severely weakened. Security forces are continuing efforts to fully reclaim areas under ISIS control and to prevent further attacks by militants hiding in the region.

Last night, security forces in Bossaso shot dead an ISIS militant who was covertly attempting to bury a landmine in the city.

The militant, confirmed to be a foreigner affiliated with ISIS factions operating in Bari, was intercepted and neutralized, according to security officials.
