BOSSASO (SD) – The Commander of the Bari Regional Police Division, Colonel Abdikadir Jama Dirir, provided an update on ongoing security operations in the region.

He stated that police forces in Bossaso had arrested multiple ISIS members involved in fundraising and planting explosive devices.

Colonel Dirir emphasized that, alongside ongoing military operations in the Al-Miskad mountains, a strong security crackdown is underway within Bossaso to eliminate ISIS operatives.

He praised local residents for their role in reporting suspicious individuals, which has helped security forces capture key ISIS operatives.

He highlighted that the public’s cooperation has significantly contributed to the success of these operations.

Security efforts in Bossaso remain focused on dismantling ISIS’s financial networks and preventing terrorist attacks.
