Hargeisa (SD) – The President of the Republic of Somaliland, Muse Bihi Abdi, has issued a presidential decree announcing the start day the Voter Registration.

The Presidential Decree reads as follows:

Having Seen: Article 90 of the Constitution of the Republic of Somaliland;
Having Seen: Article 44 of the General Elections and Voter Registration Act No. number. 91/2020;

Having Considered: The National Electoral Commission’s memorandum numbered NEC / XK / 076/2020, dated 28/10/2020;

After Study: The National Electoral Commission Proposal for Voter Registration Deadline;

I Decided;

Voter Registration begins in the Republic of Somaliland on Sunday 29/11/2020.
