President Bihi receives a Djiboutian delegation

Hargeisa (SD) – Muse Bihi Abdi today received at the Presidential Palace a delegation from the Republic of Djibouti led by the Minister of Water, Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries Mr. Mohamed Ahmed Awale (Mohamed Somali) who arrived in Somaliland on a working visit.

The President’s meeting with the Minister coincides with the intensification of brotherly, cooperative and neighborly relations between the Republic of Somaliland and the Republic of Djibouti which have recently been strengthened by the two countries. Within a month, two delegations from Djibouti arrived in Somaliland to promote and strengthen the long-standing ties between the two countries.

After the meeting, Somaliland’s Minister of Water Development Mohamed Muse Diriye welcomed his counterpart to the country, saying he was in his second country.

“Minister Mohamed Ahmed Awale (Mohamed Somali) I welcome you to the capital Hargeisa of the Republic of Somaliland, I say it is your homeland, we are really honored to have a new partnership with the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Fisheries. You will tour the country and we will take you through many places, God willing.” Said Diriye.

Also the Minister of Water, Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries of Djibouti, Hon. Mohamed Ahmed Awale (Mohamed Somali) also expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome extended to him, noting that progress was being made, starting with Water.

“I am thankful and I am honored to be in my second country, only a border separates us, I am not a foreigner here, brothers and sisters, I have come to work with you on water, fishing, farming and many other things. Let’s consult and work together on economic development. I am not a politician. I am a developmental Minister.” Said Mohamed Somali.
