Hargeisa (SD) – The President of the Republic of Somaliland, Muse Bihi Abdi today spent time with the third batch of National Service Program at the Darar-weyne National Vocational Training School.

The President was welcomed by the Director of the National Service Program, Mr. Mohamed Hussein Osman (Mu’adin), who briefed the President on the status of the third batch of national service graduates.

The President addressed the youth in an important speech on the importance of developing a nation that understands the value of patriotism.

“Congratulations to the young people who are undergoing national service training and for choosing to work for your country, I thank you all of you who have been here for so long with Covid19 pandemic in the country. I congratulate you, your parents, your friends and your wives for their patience and perseverance.” said president Bihi.

The president said that a number of women have entered the ranks of the various army officers but now it is necessary for more women with medical skills to enter the ranks of the army officers.

After the speech, the president prayed Salat Jumma with the youth of the national service, he then joined the lunch line and sat in the dining hall surrounded by some young national servicemen who were lucky enough to have a meal with the president.
