GAROWE (SD) – The President of Puntland State of Somalia, Said Abdullahi Deni, has expressed displeasure over the appointment of a new Prime Minister of Somalia.

Said Deni, boasted that he was a key factor in President Hassan Sheikh’s victory in the election, but the president gave him nothing in return.

Puntland President Said Deni said the appointment of a new Prime Minister for Somalia was President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud idea and he had no say in the matter.

Said Deni said they would give time to the new government led by President Hassan Sheikh and look at his policies, adding the new administration will be judged on its achievements.

President Deni and the majority of the Puntland MPs voted for Hassan Sheikh, and expected the appointment of a new Prime Minister, but rather Hamze Barre from Jubaland got the nod.
