JIGJIGA (SD) – Somali parliament has on May 15, elected Hassan Sheikh Mohamud for Somalia’s 10th president, this is President Hassan’s second non consecutive term in office. The president has appointed Hamze Abdi Barre as the country’s 21st PM.

Both President Hassan and PM Hamze face daunting internal, regional security and political challenges as they take the helm.
