Mogadishu (SD) – The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo, hosted a dinner in honor of the members of parliament and the speaker of the Galmudug state parliament.

Officials attending the meeting gave speeches at the dinner, addressing the transition period and the elections in the country.

President Farmajo thanked the Galmudug Speaker and the parliamentarians for fulfilling their mandate, urging them to redouble their efforts in order to make Galmudug a prosperous place.

The speaker of the Galmudug parliament who spoke at the meeting said that in the short time he has been in the parliament, they have done a lot of work and plans to work on the elections.

The Galmudug MPs recently met with former Prime Minister and Somali Presidential Candidate Hassan Ali Kheyre.

The meeting was attended by the Speaker of the House of the Federal Parliament Mohamed Mursal Sheikh Abdirahman, the Deputy Prime Minister Mahdi Mohamed Guled and the Commander of the Somali Police Force Major General Abdi Hassan Mohamed (Hijaar).
