Dhusamareb (SD) – The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo, has arrived just in Dhusamareb, the capital of Galmudug state, according to the Director of information for the Somali presidency, Abdinur Mohamed Ahmed

“The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, HE Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo, arrived in Dhusamareb this afternoon to attend a meeting between the Heads of the Federal Government of Somalia and Member States to discuss co-operation between the two levels of government and the forthcoming national elections.” said Director Abdinur Ahmed.

The delegation led by President Farmajo was welcomed at the airport by Prime Minister Hassan Ali Kheyre, the presidents of Hirshabelle, Galmudug and South West regions, noticeably absent were the Jubaland and Puntland presidents.

The Somali federal President is there to attend the second phase of the recent meeting of the leaders of the five member states of the Federal Government of Somalia in Dhusamareb.

The Somali federal state leaders strongly disagree with the federal government’s proposal in delaying the upcoming election, thus extending the governments term.
