Garowe(SD) – The Puntland’s Ruling Party (KAAH), in its first congress, this afternoon officially elected its chairman and two deputies in Garowe.

Delegates from KAAH political party from all regions of Puntland, have elected the President of Puntland State of Somalia Said Abdullahi Deni as their new party’s chairman.

Ahmed Elmi Osman, Puntland’s vice president, was elected as first vice chairman of the party, while Abdirashid Yusuf Jibril, the Puntland state parliament speaker was elected second vice chairman.

Puntland is seemingly moving towards a multiparty system, a first in the federal regional member states.
