Mogadishu (SD) – A statement from Villa Somalia said the National Security Committee meeting scheduled for September 18,2021 had been postponed.
The conference called by President Farmajo was meant to give the former NISA director to report on the disappearance and subsequent murder of Ikran Tahlil Farah.
The statement from the Somali presidency did not say why the conference was canceled but it is believed that Fahad Yassin was due to arrive in the country yesterday but did not.
“The National Security Committee meeting of the Federal Government of #Somalia which was scheduled to be held today 18-09-2021 and chaired by H.E President Mohamed Abdullahi has been rescheduled. The new date will be communicated separately.” Said a statement from Villa Somalia late last night.
The meeting was requested by former NISA Director Fahad Yassin, who has now been barred from entering the country, and as a result, the meeting was canceled.
