Mogadishu October 08, 2023 (SD) – The President of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, received the leader of SSC-Khatumo, AbdulKadir Ali Firdhiye, yesterday at the presidential palace Villa Somalia.

Hassan Sheikh discussed with Firdhiye the situation in the SSC-Khatumo region, especially in the city of Las Anod, where clashes have been occurring.

Firdhiye, the leader of SSC-Khatumo, provided President Hassan Sheikh with a briefing on the situation in his administered regions and highlighted the successes achieved in the conflict with Somaliland and the ongoing development in the areas under his control.

Firdhiye also conveyed to President Hassan Sheikh the aspirations of the people in his regions and called on the government to support their administration and provide them with their rights.

The SSC-Khatumo leader arrived in Mogadishu after receiving an invitation from Prime Minister Hamse Abdi Bare and has been engaging with top government officials, seeking their support for his administration.
