President Hassan commits to promote higher Education

MOGADISHU (SD) -The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, who attended the graduation ceremony of the 22nd class of the Somali National University, spoke about the priority given by the government to the improvement of education in the country and the importance of paying taxes for the development of social services.

President Hassan Sheikh praised the efforts of the Somali government in reopening of Somali National University in 2014 and stated that this government is committed to promoting education and ensuring the quality of education in the country.

The President commended the head and the University’s teachers and Board of Trustees for their significant contributions, particularly in supporting the rebuilding of the University and investing in the future generation, urging the graduates to contribute to the development of their country by utilizing their knowledge and serving their communities.

Today’s graduating class of 1535 students, all of whom completed various undergraduate and postgraduate programs.
