MOGADISHU (SD) – The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, met with Somali business community from Kenya at Villa Somalia to discuss how they could help drought relief in the country.

The president called on Somali businessmen in Kenya to play their part in strengthening investment in the country and implementing the national job creation program recently announced by the President.

The businessmen who arrived in Mogadishu to attend the inauguration of the 10th President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud congratulated him on his election and pledged to play a positive role in the country’s drought relief efforts.

The meeting between the new president of Somalia and Kenyan businessmen comes at a time when the governments of Somalia and Kenya are working on normalising their diplomatic relationship.
