MOGADISHU (SD) – The National Consultative Assembly convenes in Mogadishu for two days. The conference was convened by the President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud.
In attendance were the Prime Minister of the Transitional Federal Government (TFG) HE Mohamed Hussein Roble, Presidents of the Federal Member States of Somalia; Mr. Said Abdullahi Deni, Mr. Ahmed Mohamed Islam, Mr. Abdiaziz Hassan Mohamed (Lafta-gareen), Mr. Ahmed Abdi Kariye, Mr. Ali Gudlawe Hussein and Governor of Benadir Mr. Omar Mohamud Mohamed (Filish).
In line with the President’s motto of “Somali agreement”, the main objective of the conference was to strengthen the process of cooperation and consultation with goodwill, confidence and trust. The Council agreed on a number of priorities that need to be addressed in the new 2022 – 2026 term.
The Council agreed to complete the Somali State Building, the national security process, ensure political and social reconciliation, establish, accelerate and complete the federal system and give priority to the talks between the Federal Government and Somaliland.
The newly elected President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, has today concluded the special the National Consultative meeting in Villa Somalia.
