DHUSAMAREB (SD) – A delegation led by the President of the Federal Republic of Somalia Hassan Sheikh Mohamud has today arrived in Dhusamareb, the capital of Galmudug state.

President Hassan Sheikh was welcomed by the President of Galmudug State of Somalia Ahmed Abdi Kariye Qoor qoor, ministers, parliamentarians, officials, military officials and the general public.

During his stay in Dhusamareb, the President of the Federal Republic of Somalia will hold various meetings with President Ahmed Qoor qoor and his Vice President to discuss the general situation in the country and the region.

The President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud will also meet with traditional elders and various sections of the society to discuss reconciliation issues.

The President said he traveled to Galmudug to deliver on his vision for an agreement on Somalia, which is fundamental to the implementation of genuine reconciliation, the unification of the Somali people and the liberation of the country.

President indicated that he will be monitoring the living conditions in Galmudug, so that the federal government could play its part in improving the environment and addressing the drought crisis.

President Hassan’s visit to Galmudug follows his first visit since winning his post to Baidoa and is part of the new president’s agenda in putting together his government.
