JEDDAH (SD) -The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Mr. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, who received an official invitation from the King of Saudi Arabia Mr. Salman Binu Abdizais was warmly welcomed in the city of Jeddah.

President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud and King Salman bin Abdulaziz will hold discussions to strengthen the diplomatic relations between the two countries, focusing on security, trade, and bilateral cooperation.

After the meeting with the Saudi leaders, President Hassan Sheikh will proceed to Umrah, as it is in the last days of the holy month of Ramadan.

Somalia and Saudi Arabia share a brotherly relationship with deep historical roots, which the Somali people and government remember with gratitude the support provided by the Saudi Kingdom during critical times in history.
