ROME (SD) -Somalia’s President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, who is attending the Italy-Africa Conference in Rome, had a special meeting with the President of Comoros, Azali Assoumani, who is the chairman of the African Union.

During their meeting, the two presidents discussed various crucial matters, including strengthening the bilateral relationship between their countries and enhancing collaboration to ensure the future prosperity and progress of the African continent.

The discussion touched upon the importance of maintaining unity, peace, and shared development among all member states of the African Union. President Hassan Sheikh emphasized the need for solidarity and mutual respect among African nations.

President Hassan Sheikh also shared his government’s position regarding the dispute with Ethiopia, expressing that Somalia will never accept any encroachment on its territory and urged for a peaceful resolution to the issue.
