The President of the Republic of Somaliland, and Chairman of the Kulmiye Party, Muse Bihi Abdi, attended the Fourth Kulmiye party Congress which opened today in the Somaliland capital of Hargeisa.
The fourth conference of the Kulmiye party which will last for three days, was attended by 1,122 delegates from the regions and districts of the country led by the president, vice president and other members. Kulmiye leadership.
Speaker and Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, delegates from Taiwan, Djibouti and the Somali Regional State of Ethiopia, members of the opposition parties Wadani and UCID, traditional leaders and other dignitaries in large numbers.
The conference elected four members who will chair the fourth conference of the Kulmiye party, who will guide the conference for the duration and apply the general agenda of the conference. The members are Mr. Abdikarim Ahmed Mohamed (Xinif), Ali Mohamed Ali (Ali Ali-yow), Abdullahi Mohamed Dahir (Cukuse) and Faisal Omar Madar.
The President of the Republic of Somaliland, and Chairman of the Kulmiye party, Muse Bihi Abdi, who officially opened the fourth congress of the Kulmiye party, delivered a wide-ranging speech at the forum, focusing mainly on the party’s successes during his tenure.
He stated that successive governments have given priority to equality of citizens, protection of the nation, protection of the rule of law, security, welfare of civil servants, infrastructure construction, good governance, promotion and enhancement of education and women’s rights and vulnerable communities.
In his speech, the President mentioned the former President of the Republic of Somaliland, and the Founder of the Kulmiye party, Mr. Ahmed Mohamud (Silanyo) as a political veteran who has worked hard for the country and the people, and has done a lot for his country.
It’s worth noting that the former president is not attending the current Kulmiye conference due to internal feuds, according to party insiders.
