President of HirShabelle Addresses Beledweyne Community leaders

BLEDWEYNE (SD) – Today, the President of HirShabelle State of Somalia, Ali Gudlawe Hussein, and his Deputy, Yusuf Ahmed Hagar, held a high-level meeting with traditional leaders of the Hawadle community in Beledweyne.

The President and the traditional elders of the community reached a formal agreement on their concerns regarding the formation of the HirShabelle administration and pledged to work for unity and solidarity in the future.

“”I had an invaluable meeting today with the elders and intellectuals of the Hawadle community to discuss their concerns about the HirShabelle Government. We reached a formal agreement on their concerns and accepted all their suggestions, and we promised to work together for the unity and solidarity of the HirShabelle Government, “said Hirshabelle President Ali Gudlawe.

Finally, the President thanked the traditional elders of the Hawadle community and said that he accepted all their objectives and will begin implementing them.

The agreement came after the President of HirShabelle was successfully relocated to Beledweyne during an uprising against his administration.

Although Hirshabelle claims to have reached a preliminary agreement with the Hawadle Clan, there is no official word on the agreement reached between the Hawadle Clan intellectuals and the Hirshabelle administration.

It was just two days ago when President Gudlawe visited Beledweyne under a heavy show of force, and this was the first face-to-face meeting between the President of Hirshabelle and the intellectuals of the Hawadle community.
