Mandhera July 22,2019(SD)- Somaliland journalist Abdimalik Muse Coldoon who started serving his term in Mandhera this week is said to have started a hunger strike according to family and close associates.

A judge in Hargeisa recently sentenced the journalist a three and a half year sentence for defamation.

Coldon and other journalists have long been concerned with Somaliland’s treatment of reporters and media outlets.

There has not been a response from the government of Somaliland to this new developing situation.
