Garowe (SD) – The Puntland Security Forces (PSF) have today released a video of their operatives interviewing three accused Al-Shabaab members.

The interviewees, in a stunning revelations, shared information on how the Al-Shabaab planned and attacked the main prison in Bossaso, on March 5th 2021.

Prior to the attack, Al-Shabaab used to send $ 800 to inmates at the main prison in Bossaso, according to one of the members interviewed for the program.

He also said the money was channeled through the third deputy commander of Bossaso Central Prison, Jama Dheere.

The detainee went on to say that Al-Shabaab later increased the amount to $1,000, and that the money was distributed to Al-Shabaab detainees.

Speaking about the prison attack, he said planning began in 2019, and some inmates were informed of the preparations for the attack.
