BOSSASO (SD) – At least two people were killed and seven others injured in an armed clash between Puntland regional state police and PSF forces on the coast of Bossaso.

One of the dead was a civilian and the other was a police officer, while six of the injured were civilians.

It is not known the cause of the clash that took place this afternoon, at a time when many people were on the beach in Bossaso.

So far, the Bossaso city administration and the Puntland government have not yet commented on the incident.

Bossaso has been peaceful in recent months following clashes between Puntland forces and specially trained PSF forces.
