Bossaso (SD) – Details are emerging from a heavy fighting in the Bari region yesterday morning between Puntland Defense Forces and ISIS fighters in that region.

The fighting erupted after units of the Puntland Defense Forces launched a planned attack on an ISIS hide out in the mountainous Bari region, where the group is seen mobilizing lately.

The Puntland regional Military told local media, that eight ISIS members were killed in yesterday’s fighting and that two of the group’s vehicles were destroyed, although they declined to comment on military casualties.
