Garowe (SD) – A ceremony marking of the 23rd anniversary of the formation of the Puntland administration was held at the Puntland State House in Garowe.

The ceremony was attended by Puntland President Said Abdullahi Dani, his Deputy Ahmed Osman Elmi Karash and the Speaker of the Puntland Parliament and his deputies.

Members of both Houses of the Somali Parliament, Federal Ministers and politicians from Puntland and the Federal Government of Somalia were also invited to the event.

Cultural leaders, religious leaders and hundreds of citizens attended the annual event.

Artists and poets from across Somalia and abroad also took part in the event, which showcases literature related to Puntland’s founding day and progress.

Puntland politicians and leaders delivered speeches on Puntland’s progress.
