BOSSASO (SD) – Puntland security forces have announced that they have thwarted an al-Shabaab terrorist attack in Bossaso, the commercial capital of Puntland.

A remote controlled explosives were found near the house of the Commander of the Puntland Darawish Forces, , according to the deputy governor of Bari region.

Governor Mohamed Dalmar Bile, said security forces were currently conducting counter-terrorism operations, calling on the public to co-operate with the forces.

The commercial capital of Puntland, Bossaso, where Puntland President Said Abdullahi Deni is currently visiting, has recently been hit by explosions targeting public places and government officials.
