GAROOWE (SD) – The Puntland Armed Forces Court of First Instance has today sentenced four members of Al-Shabaab militia to death.

The Armed Forces Prosecutor read out the indictment and the evidence against the convicted militants in court.

The court also heard the response of the defense lawyers and the arguments against the prosecution’s allegations.

The members sentenced to death are Jama Adan Tusbahle, Ayub Omar Shire, Abdullahi Salad Boos and Mohamud Abshir Muse Olyo.

The arrests were made in collaboration with the Bari Regional Police and the Puntland Intelligence Service (PISF), who conducted an operation in Bossaso.
