Garowe July 19, 2023 (SD) – The Commander of the Danab Special Forces and prominent opposition figure, Colonel Jimale Jama Takar, has once again reiterated his refusal to accept the opening of the Puntland Constitution.

Colonel Jimcale made his statement during a gathering of military personnel at the Ligle Training Center on the outskirts of the capital, Garowe.

“We will continue to fight against the opening of the Puntland Constitution, which we do not accept,” said Jimale in a strongly worded address to the troops under his command.

He also emphasized that they would not accept any compromise on the issues they have been fighting for, which have resulted in the loss of lives.

“We will not accept any kind of compromise on the sacrifices we have made and the lives we have lost,” he stated firmly.

Furthermore, he stated that President Deni does not have the authority to unilaterally decide the arrangements for the 2024 elections and referred to him as an candidate.
