Qoryooley October 11,2022 (SD) – The governor of Qoryooley district in Lower Shabelle region, Sayed Ali Ibrahim was today killed in an explosion in that district.

Reports indicate that the landmine explosion, targeted the Governor while he was traveling on the outskirts of the district, and he and some of his bodyguards were killed.

The President of the South West Region, Abdiasis Hassan Mohamed Laftagareen, has sent his deepest condolences to the family, relatives, and the entire Somali nation on the death of the Governor of Qoryooley District Said Ali Ibrahim Hassan.

President Laftagareen pointed out that the deceased has served the Somali nation for a long time, and he will be remembered for his role in peace building among Qoryooley’s communities and his commitment to serving the Somali people.
