MOGADISHU (SD) – Reports from Daynile district in Banadir region confirm that a land mine explosion there caused various casualties.

The blast targeted a Somali military convoy traveling on the busy street at the time.

The blast reportedly killed a military officer and wounded three others, including two civilians and a the other is said to be the officer driving the car that was targeted.

Security forces in Daynile district arrived at the scene of the blast, evacuated the victims and conducted searches in the area.

No group has claimed responsibility for the deadly blast in Daynile today.
