Mogadishu (SD) – Reports from Hodan district in Mogadishu confirm an explosion could be heard last night near the former milk factory in Mogadishu’s Hodan district.
The report added that a roadside bomb targeted a vehicle carrying a Federal police officer named Mohamed Dahir.
Witnesses say the targeted officer escaped unhurt but two of his bodyguards were injured.
The Federal security forces have temporarily closed the road to the former dairy factory although the situation has now returned to normal.
The latest blast comes as explosions and killings have been on the rise in Mogadishu in recent weeks, as country prepares for the completion of the Federal Lower House elections
