Mogadishu (SD) – Security forces have tonight stopped a rally in support of Presidential candidate Mustafa Duhulow at the Afriik Hotel near the KM4 junction in Mogadishu.
The preparations for the meeting have been going on since yesterday, was suddenly cancelled by the government security authorities, according to the Hotel management.
Mustafa Dhuhulow accused the National Security Forces of being behind the cancelation of the event, adding that the order was issued by the Intelligence Command.
Somali government deployed lots troops in Mogadishu in the last few days, in response to opposition planned demonstrations in the capital.
The opposition also accused the government in deploying troops to their neighborhoods, limiting their political movement.
