Mogadishu (SD) – Somalia’s civil society (SONSA) is seriously concerned about the new electoral process of the new parliament recently issued by the National Consultative Council.
A statement from Somalia’s civil society organizations said they were opposed to the new election process, adding that they found it to be in violation of the citizen’s right to participate in the country’s elections, as well as abuse of power by the National Consultative Assembly.
The statement from Somalia’s civil society organizations against the Lower House election process comes at a time when the Union of Somali Presidential Candidates also opposed the Lower House election process.
