Somali federal and state governments to meet for consultation

Mogadishu (SD) – Somali President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo has invited State Presidents and Governor of Banadir to attend the National Security Council meeting held in Mogadishu early in July.

According to a statement from Villa Somalia, the Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) emphasizes the importance of the conference, which is a reflection of the joint political, security and economic achievements of the Somali people and the government, and directs the process to democratic process in the country.

The meeting takes place between 5-8 July, 2020, its agenda will include consultations on elections, security, fight against terrorist groups, completing the constitutional review on the country’s constitution and the economic development of the country.
