MOGADISHU (SD) – A press release issued tonight by the Government of Somalia states that with the help of the US AFRICOM command, they have carried out three aerial attacks against Al-Shabaab fighters.
The news released tonight by the government confirmed that the Al Shabaab targeted attacks took place in areas of Hiran region in central Somalia.
The government further confirmed that in a preliminary assessment of the air strikes killed four members of the Al-Shabaab fighters, and that there were no civilian casualties.
The Somali government said that with the help of the United States, it is committed to fighting the Al-Shabab group, in order to prevent the death of innocent civilians as stated in the text.
