Mogadishu (SD) – Somali President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo contacted his Kenyan counterpart Uhuru Kenyatta regarding the Kenyan plane that crashed yesterday in Somalia.
A statement from Kenya’s foreign ministry said “President Farmajo has expressed his sadness over the incident and sent his deepest condolences to the family’s of the six people who died in the clash.
Kenya has previously asked Somalia to investigate the circumstances that caused the plane to crash in Bardale district.
During their phone call, President Farmajo informed President Kenyatta that he has instructed by the Civil Aviation Agencies in Somalia to immediately investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
He also invited the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA) to help with the investigations.
President Uhuru Kenyatta thanked H.E. President Farmajo pledged to send his deepest condolences to the families of the two workers who were killed in the plane crash.
